QlikView Performance

Hi,

I am running QlikView without any problems on relatively small databases (55Gb, 10Gb) sometimes joining more than one together.

One of our sister companies has been trialling QlikView on clients' databases which are sometimes in the region of 500Gb to 1Tb, and they say QlikView is just not handling it.

has anyone here been running QlikView without problem on datasources this size or bigger?

also with multiple datasources being loaded?

Thanks in advance,

Matt

Yes, I have experience with running QV on relatevely very large databases. The key is to have proper data repository in QVD format, and using best practices to link them in your QVWs. The trick is have most of the data manipulation (decimals, dates,...) in the repository itself, and avoide to do lots of calucations in QV script and expecially on the charts/tables itself.
