QlikView performance issue

Hi Experts,

I have performance issues with my dashboard. We are currently having huge number of records(in Millions) and due to that the dashboard does not load properly.

Could you please suggest the best approach to resolve this performance issue.

Please suggest the areas that I need make the tuning or settings.

It looks like in future the client data would grow immensely but how can I get the dashboard ready for that.

Sorry to tag this message but we are moving to production and this issue is kind of stopping it.

Any help and suggestions on this is highly appreciated.

Regards,

Shyam.

Hello,

If it is possible in your case, try to set dimensions limits on all tables(pivot or regular).

Best Regards!

  • Try to apply some selection(on open trigger) like latest year and latest quarter so that the calculations will be faster.
  • Try minimizing some of the objects so that minimized objects will be calculated only when they are active
  • Check your expressions and try making them simple wherever possible. Try to use flags.
  • Check if you have nested ifs in the expressions.
  • HOPE YOUR SYSTEM HAS ENOUGH CONFIGURATION TO HOLD BIG AMOUNT OF DATA

Cheers,

Naresh
