Qlikview has stopped working error after installation

I just installed version 12 SR1 on my new windows 10 PC and I get this error when I attempt to open the application.

Any ideas?

Hi,

Root Cause:

This could have something to do with the antivirus program restricting the installation .exe file.

Resolution:

This problem might be cause by your anti-virus program. For a resolution on this you could extract the .msi package and install from these files.

1. Go to the command  prompt.

2. Find the desktop installation exe file.

3. Run the command > Qlik_Sense_Desktop_setup.exe -layout c:\temp

4. Go to C:\temp\AttachedContainer\SenseDesktop.msi and install it.

5. Also install the DemoApps

Hi Deva,

It ended up being an issue with my computers settings. We had to set an exception for qlik in Windows Defender since it was blocking the application.

I didn't get a chance to try your method before the exception was made but I appreciate your efforts!
