Qlikview with an external datawarehouse or NOT

We 'll start a project with qlikview and we have 2 solutions :

- Store data in  an external datawarehouse

- Store the data in Qlikview database.

Do you know the technical reason to choose the best solution ?

Do you know if there is some technical guide to know the contraints of the tools ?

Thanks for your feedback

The answer is "Yes, but it's not required". A data warehouse definitely helps.

If you don't have the knowledge and the tools to build a datawarehouse, then skip it. If you do have the knowledge and the tools, then I'm sure you know the reasons to use it.

Thanks a lot for this answer. If I understand, there is no reason to use an external  datawarehouse. I had  heard,  it'll be better  to manage a big Data Volume and Historical data, for the data integrity ...Qlikview is a real datawarehouse with a real ETL. What is your opinion ?  What is the most important problem you encoutetred on this tool ? Thanks you again for your feedback. Laurence
