ReStarting QlikView Server 9 from command line

Hi,

I have an issue where it looks like community license sessions are not freeing MEM if closed. The QVS.exe seems to keep sessions open in MEM. This results in a growing usage of memory of the qvs.exe process, up to a total halt of the systems.

A quick scheduled reload of the service is one of the options. Now I do this by hand every week, but I would like to schedule a Stop and Start of Restart.

Can someone tell me the commandline switchs for that ?

THNX

Eduard

Hello Eduard,

Assuming you are using it as a service, you should use net use Windows command

net stop "QlikView Server"net start "QlikView Server"

Where "QlikView Server" is the name of the services as seen in the services console (startup, run, services.msc).

Hope this helps.
