Reload button in QlickView server version????

Hi All,

I have one QV document having one reload button which reloads my document in the QV developer window.

But my client does not have the QV desktop developer rather they have the Qlickview server version.

So can they open my file in QV server, with the reload button working, i mean to say if they will open my Qv document in the Qv server will the reload button work for them????

If not is there any work around for the same?

Thanks & regards,

Mahasweta

Hello Mahasweta,

The QV server has a reload feature, where you can automatically reload the data on a schedule or just once.
If your document is being viewed with Ajax/java etc from the QV server, i'm not sure if your button will work.

Let me clarify myself in detail.

I dont have my Qlickview developer and i have only qlickView server with me.

I want to view the Qv documents which are developed in qlickview developer in my server.

That i can do.

I have one batch file which will reload my documents.

and the batch file command is

"C:\Program Files\QlikView\Qv.exe" /r "\\son1266\QVW new files\Mahasweta\COP Scorecard_WithoutSecurity.qvw"

Since i dont have QlickView developer will this batch file run in qlickview server ,as it calls Qv.exe inside it???

Please help me on the same.

I need it badly.

Thanks & regards,

Mahasweta

Hello,

I think i understand now, you have a button that a user can press to reload the data, using the qv.exe file.
I've not done this before, but i think it will be ok, let me know how it goes.

Thanks,
Peter.

If you don't have qv.exe "C:\Program Files\QlikView\Qv.exe" /r will not work. Alternative for reloading is to install publisher standard edition.
