I don't know what the Set by Style actually means... but what are you trying to achieve?
Did you ever get an answer to this question? I am new to qlikview and struggling with the same problem (probably caused by my ignorance) but now I cannot find how to override the "set by style" limitation on the fonts! Very irritating!
I have this problem aswell! any solution yet?
I am having this problem as well. In an object properties, on the Font tab, I can not use any other option except "Set by Style". I would like to override this. Did any of you find a solution? Thanks.
i used the text color and text format setting in experssion to work around it. and then the right clikc option "format cell" to adjust the headers.
hope that helpes you!
Yep, that seems to do the trick (as a workaround).
Thanks!
I am having the same issue, can you explain your work around in more detail?
It's using a chart - straight table, and the font will not allow anything except "set by style".
Thanks for any help!
In the expression tab you have a list of all your expressions to the right, there is a + sign before each expression. Press this + sign to expand the possible settings.
type '<b>' in the text format for BOLD text, '<i>' for ITALIC, to give some examples.
In the text color you can use either built-in function like white() or rgb(). Refer to reference manual for a complete list of all available settings.
Awesome, thank you! Perfect explanation.
I actually found another post that mentioned going to the menu View - Design Grid, then right clicking any cell and making the format change to the individual cell or applying to the dimension. This also worked.
