In the pass my though is need to combine both. Because set have it adv like allow user to select any period to compare sales. And YTD can compute more accurate then SET for YTD sales. ( but HIC told me recently set also able . If use month ago script , I not yet test and figure out how to do it ).
When I look at QV example most of developer include QV staff also prefer SET then YTD. like P&L statement for QV example.
After this point , I recall SET also allow compare YTD sales with out the need of user select current month and year. Same as YTD .
My conclusion is I should not keep 2 diff type of report instead just use SET for all my report. Does any one can share with me and give me your comment.
My meaning of YTD report mean the YTD expression is script of YTD at reload script and one expression does not able you select any period in compare.
