Hi guys.
I was wondering if I can use RowNo() in an expression or calculated dimension. I have seen examples of this but they always used directly in the script, the point is I'm new in QlikView and even dare not touch the data model I have in charge.
How I can use RowNo in a table to generate a consecutive numeric ? or is it not possible?
Thanks to all
hi sebastian,
Yes its possible to generate a consecutive numeric, In a Straight Table, Using RowNo() as an Expression.
first create a expression in Straight table properties - > expression tab , Next type RowNo() in definition.
select option expression total or max rows under total mode as per your requirement

Hope it helps.

It is possible. If you have a single dimension, then RowNo() and with Multiple Dimensions you can use RowNo(TOTAL)
