Hey everyone,
I have to calculate Running total of first week of the quarter aggregating upto last week in the quarter and then resetting to first week of the quarter and so on.
This expression is part of a dynamic report where the users have the ability to choose the dimensions/expressions on the go to generate charts on the go. These charts can be changed to Pivot/Straight table/Pie/ bar charts using fast chart options.Therefore limiting the use of Above or before functions.
Scenario 1: when the user selects Week and Quarter as dimensions, running total will be aggregated from first week until 13th week of the quarter
Scenario 2: when the user selects Month and Quarter as dimensions, running total will be aggregated from first month to 3rd month of the quarter
Scenario 3: If only Quarter is selected then totals will be at Quarter level only.
Scenario 4:If none of the date parameters is selected then data will be aggregated at the selected dimension level ignoring the date selections.
Note: These running totals value should not change if the users changes from Pivot to straight table or if they change the order of the colum dimensions in the table.
I have used this expression
RANGESUM(ABOVE(SUM(Net Billing),0,ROWNO()))
