"Slowly changing dimensions" is a data model challenge that you may encounter when you model your business processes.

Intervalmatch is a tool in QlikView/Qlik Sense. You can use the Extended Intervalmatch to model the SCD.

Hi,

For some reporting purpose we need historical data for some fields in the table, in order to maintain that we will create some additional tables in our script using resident loads.

so that for every split we will get the record entered so that at any point of time we can get the historical data.

for eg: say emp status/promotion

Hi,

check this link hope it helps you.

datawarehouse4u.info/SCD-Slowly-Changing-Dimensions.html

SCD - Slowly changing dimension, for example the price of a product will change over a period of time to know the price of the product on a particular data SCD types are used, this can handled in different techniques, refer above link for details.

The same we can achieve this using the IntervalMatch() in qlikview.
