Scenario Help

Hi All,

I have one scenario in which Txn_Table having dates w.r.t sensor.

Sensor is sending data every minutes in txn table and get appended in DateRecorded as a timestamp.

But when Sensor is Not sending records their Timestamp is not recorded.

what i want is when i select year let say 2015, than all Sensor Data should show, i.e. Sended data and not sensed Data

e.g.     Sensor             Date Recorded                     temp

           Sensor1          07-oct-15 12:10:10 AM             -10

          Sensor1          08-oct-15 11:10:10 AM             -13

          Sensor1          -                                                     -

u can see sensor1 in 3rd record not sending data. but i want when select let say year 2015 and year Oct.  All three records should show..

Pls suggest

Regards

Abhay

How do you tell that this record belongs to 2015 Oct then? Or do you want to show this record for any selection in year / month?

Just for interest, what are you doing with this information, showing the sensor with missing timestamp and temp value does not give much information, does it?

If this is part of day-to-day measurement, create a calendar with all days in all years you need. In your UI object, select Show All Values for the date dimension.

Or add 0-records or 'No measurement'-records to your measurements table for all missing dates. That method produces a data model that is easier to work with.
