Search Object - Index

Hello,

Does anyone know where I can obtain a full index list of what can be used within the Search Object facility.  For instance so far I know:

With * (asterix) = Wildcard searches;

Without * (asterix) = and/or searches or normal searches;

With - (minus) = removing words from the filtered list;

With ~ (tilde) = fuzzy searches;

etc..

It's just that currently I am not a 100% sure I or my colleagues have all that need in the way of search parameters when conducting searches within the data we use.

Any tips / pointers would be gratefully received.

Thanks and regards, Mike.

How about the help file? Start Qlikview, press F1, choose the Index tab, enter Search as keyword and click on the entry Search in the list.

Thanks Gysbert.  Whilst this is useful to note I however feel this isn't the full comprehensive list of parameters which could be used within the search object facility.  For example, I came across a condition where by I was able to remove certain keywords from a filtered list using the - (minus) condition.

As this information is not within the details of what you have suggested as a way of a pointer it makes me wonder or question as to what else there is that could be used within the Search Object facility that some or any of the new users are not fully aware of.

Thanks and regards, Mike.
