Search in QlikView

Hi all,

Traditionally it is possible to define search in a certain field. But I need to tune it somehow.

Imagine that my field "Ads" consists of more than 5 thousands values.

There's another field "Year of Ads issue". It means that I can define, for example, 2017 in order to limit the list of ads to 2017 only.

My task is the following:

  • I want to allow my users to search in the field "Ads" BUT limited to ads issued in 2017.
  • In search results there should be only ads issued in 2017.

Is ti possible?

Thank you in advance,

Larisa

Yes, I can give an example.

Think about online ticketing, I mean all the web-sites providing the service of buying tickets online.

1) You select a city of destination.

2) Then you select the date of departure and arrival.

3) Finally you click "Find".

In search results you see the flights corrresponding to your conditions.

I need a similar logic of search in my QlikSense app.

Are there any ideas how I can do it?

Thank you in advance.

Hi,

maybe you could deselect the "include excluded" option in the search object properties and limit the years before searching for Ads:
