Section Access: One table different levels of access for the same user
Hello Qlik Folks,
A question for all you Section Access gurus out there. I am needing to provide a user, different levels of access to the same data table e.g.:
The table:
EmployeePayFacts:
$ Value
Cost CentreID
EmployeeID
EmployeeManagerID
The requirements:
- A manager may access detail employee level data for their staff only e.g. filter by the EmployeeManagerID
- A manager may access aggregate Cost Centre level data for all Cost Centres (regardless of EmployeeManagerID)
I considered creating two tables one with $ values at an Employee Level, and another at CostCentre level and use Section Access separately for each table. Problem is I would like to avoid the overhead of extra records.
Any ideas?

You can't apply different section access rules to different fields of the same record of the same table. You'll have to create another table.
