Section Access with generic user ids different from Windows login
Scenario:
I have implemented Qlikview with Local Users (not AD) and some users have generic QV logins like Purchase, Sales etc -although not best practise,
this was a project requirement.
According to requirement, these users will login to windows with domain account(not same as QV login) and use generic id(Sales,Purchase, Finance) to login to QV.
The challenge here is when implementing Section Access, they have to login twice. Once initially to QlikView and the other to access the document based on section access.
Can we somehow use the QlikView login to bypass further logins to documents implemented with section access ?
1 thing I tried was to include NTName parameter instead of generic ids in Section Access inspite of initial login to QV happening through generic id. So instead of giving Purchase value in Section Access, I just specify the 3-4 domain user accounts that will use this generic account. This didnt work as I think Section Access only takes assigned Users. in this case, Purchase is the assigned user in QVMC and not the domain users.
