I think you cannot open a document on the QlikView Server as an ADMIN user from a client. Here is an extract from the QlikView Server/Publisher Reference Manual.

29.2 General limitations when working from clients

Regardless which client you use there are some things you cannot do when working with a document

opened through QlikView server:

l You cannot create new documents

l You cannot access or execute the script

l You cannot access or change the macro module

l You cannot save changes to the document, beyond shared objects

If you need to access the document as an ADMIN user, you need to open it directly (not on Server or from a client). Either you copy the document to the machine having a desktop version of QlikView or install QlikView desktop on the server.

Hope this helps.

hi,

I think krishnamoorthy gave you the right answer. I was just asking a question.

If that is the case verfiy that answer as this will be clearer for others reading the thread.

With local client QLikview I can open it with section user ADMIN.

But I do not want the user to work locally , and want him to work via web server or "open in server" mode. Then admin user is not working , other normal user works well , why not the admin ?

Looking at the initial script, guess that only MC will be able to open, as he is the only one having a "GROEP" assigned, which is in the dataset.

You mix up two different things:

The role as ADMIN or USER, which allows to open the document locally, see the script and reload it (as ADMIN). The user may only change the layout.

Furthermore you can assign certain rules, e.g. allow the ADMIN also to see all data and to define other rules.
