I am developing an application to monitor and control an IT HelpDesk. Over time this becomes a big project it self and I would like to reduce the complexity and add some new, "more modern" controls to the application like:
When you hover or click with the mouse a data point of an graph a pop up is displayed showing information and other graphs in a page ( the page displayed should not be visible until activating it).
I was playing around with conditionally hidden pages and transparent buttons but all of this dose not really produces the right result e.g. when you lay a transparent button over a data point you loose the high light effects, it seen there is no way to (or I can not) size conditionally hidden pages and launch them like a pop up .....
I saw the functionality in the Desirablles AJAX but wonder if this is web development??
yes, the beautiful functionality in "Desirables" is all achieved by hand-crafted WEB page development. You might be able to view the scripts if you "View code" of your HTML page.
