Solved: Server Development - Licensing - Qlik Community

Hello,

A colleague of mine want to do some development on our QV test Server.

He has been developing on his laptop for some time without issue but

now need to the power of the server to continue.

When he:

1. Logs on to server using his same AD account

2. Opens a document

He gets the 'You are using Personal Edition' error.

We've tried several things to get the licensing to transfer to his server desktop

but no luck.

What is the right way to do this ?

Hi!

Your college has been developing on his laptop. Does he have license on that laptop? Where did he get license?

Your test-server probably has licenses free. If your college clicks Open on server, points that to test server he should get license from test-server.
