Server Upgradation Issue

Dear Team,

We have upgraded server from 11.0 to 11.2. Also, Backup for LEF, .shared and .meta files were taken.

After the activity, qvw files were deleted from the publish folder. We tried changing the publish folder path in qmc but the same case is happening.

Kindly assist and provide solution for the same.

Do you mind providing us with some more details of your QlikView set-up? For example, do you have a Publisher license? Which publish folder path did you try to change? Where do your source documents reside? Did you try changing this path to an entirely new location, or did you try to put it back to what it was before the upgrade? How did you upgrade? Uninstall-Reinstall or simply upgrade in-place?

Best,

Peter

Hi Peter,

We have a publisher License.

After the up-gradation activity, all the qvw files were deleted. we tried pasting some qvw files in the same path after the activity but the same were getting deleted after some time. so we changed the publish folder path and restarted the server but we faced the same issue.

we havent rollbacked the upgradations as we need to rectify first what is the issue? If at all we dont find any solution we will rollback the activity.

we Unistalled the Qv Server and then Installed it.

Hope this comments helps you to solve our issue at the earliest.

Thanks

Sarfaraz

If you use a full Publisher, the standard publishing mechanism is something like:

Source Doicument -> Reload -> Distribute -> User Document. Simply dropping documents in the public AccessPoint folder makes no sense.

Did you try running the distribution tasks to publish the documents in their new locations?

Hi Peter,

We tried distributing the task as well, the qvw files gets published to the folder. we can view the file in Access point for a while. But after sometime it gets deleted automatically.

Kindly provide some solution at the earliest as we are unable to view any qvw Application.

Thanks

Check your anti-virus software. Most probably, someone/something outside of QlikView services is removing documents because he/she doesn't like them.

Did you observe the removal? Is there a fixed point in time when these documents get lost?

We checked with the Network team but there is no antivirus which is blocking QlikView services

and deleting the documents.

Still checking the issue. unable to find any solution for the same.
