Hello,
I have created the following expression in a textbox:
=max({<Year= {"$(=max({1} Year))"}>Left([ YearMonth],2))
Result:
Error: '}' expected
I already been looking around and I cant spot where the problem is...
Can you give me a hint please!

Why do you have a space within the []  for YearMonth field ??

First of all remove the space from [ YearMonth]
Secondly, remove {1}.
Try expression like:
=max({<Year= {"$(=max(Year))"}>}Left(YearMonth,2))
Hope it satisfies your requirement.
