Set analysis question?

I am trying to build an application (for a Contact centre) that displays the calls received to date and calls forecast for the month. When I select a date in the month, the calls received to date will give me the sum of calls that we received up to that date but the calls forecast will display the value we have forecasted for the month. Any help on how I can go about to do this would be great.
