If the question is about QV applications - looking at the same data from differnet prospective, that is grouping by different dimensions, aggregating measures in different ways.
If you're asking about fruits and vegetables - I'm not the expert...

SLicing means that u can get the detail at granule level...
example.. no. of product sale by region wise..
-Country
-States
-Districts
-City
- Area
-Customer Address
so, it is the slicing of the region by product sales....
while dicing means.. (Cut into cubes)
get the same out put from the input..
but here in cube get via... same measures and dimensions
