Sorting Issue in Pivot Table

Please Help.

I have a pivot table in which I show 4 dimensions which are Region, District, District Manager and Customers and One expression for Sales.

My requirement is to show top 50 Customers by sales for each District Manager. I achieved this using a calculated dimesnion for Customers. Is there any other way of doing it.

Also When we do not select any dimension, the data is not sorted.

When we select a  District Manager, the sales get sorted

I have used the expression for sorting in Customer dimesnion.

Could you please help me resolving the sorting problem.

Provide some sample data.

This can be achieved by

     1) Calculated Dimension

     2) Set Analysis

The later will give you better performance for Large Data Model.

You can use Rank function in the expression.

Hi Manisha,

PFA the sample data and QVW. My data is similar to it. I am not able to simulate similar problem in this example. Might be this is a small data set so its not having that sorting problem. Original data has lakhs of records and 100s of customer for one manager.

I have tried with top 3 customers. In real we show top 20 and 50 customers.

Please try to simulate the sorting issue by adding more data similar to this.

Your efforts are highly appreciated.

Thanks.
