Sorting in Straight table

Hi,

I am using Straight table in my application.

In Straight table sorting is not working for me in both ways like Ascending as well as descending.Requirement is user should sort in both ways Ascending as well as Descending.

When I was working on this what I have seen is Sorting works good when data is less in Straight table but it's noty working in my real application wherein data is more.

Can you please give your inputs on this?

Regards,

Swapnil

HI swapnil ,

Whats the size of your data in application ??? can you share it.

There allways a performance issue when data is more , try to increase your hardware as per your data. beacuse as per your inputs its working fine when data is less.

Hi,

Please check the Interactive Sort is enabled or not?

It is in the Property-- Sort-- Below Priority

Then use double click on column, and verify.

Thanks

Thanks for the quick reply.

Interactive sort option is on.

I am using QlikView 10 version.

Data size is around 10 Mb and 1500 rows in the pivot on which I am trying sorting.

What I can see is text columns are working fine when we keep sort order Text (A-> Z) but columns with Numeric values are not working properly.

Have you got the sort order correct in the Sort tab ... giving the columns the correct priority?

Also, you mention Pivot ... is it definitely a Straight table?

HI swapnil,

GO to Properties > Sort >

Now select your filed where you need accending or decending , and check accending / decending.

Just clik on the filed name on the table if its accending it will change to decending and vica versa.

I hope this will work.

Yes its a straight table.

I have done the same thing. Properties--> Sort and setup the sorting Ascending or descending as required on columns. Problem which I am facing is if I set up Ascending then it sorts in ascending by double clicking and then if I again double click for descending then it doesnt work. Ideally it should work thats how sorting is required.
