Sorting using multiple fields

I need to sort a table with one dimension by mutilpe fields. I am displaying Saleman but need it in the following order. First sort by the field that identifies "Domestic" vs "Export" - the field is DE and is either a 1 or a 2. Second, I need to sort the dimension by Regeion - field  REG and numbers from 1 to 6. Third, I need to sort by Salesman number.

How can I do this?

Thanks,

Stephen

Hi sjcharles,

You need to create a straight table or just go to sort section and there set the dimensions sort order of the dimensins.

Hope this helps you.

In pivot table it is automatic only if I am displaying all of the fields. I am only displaying the Saleman field, but it need to sort by  three other field and in a specific order.

Hi sjcharles,

Use Straight table not pivot table then go to sort options and apply sorting criteria. In pivot it sort in single values only.

at a time you can not sort on the basis of more than one field

but you can sort one by one by click on top of fields

Looks like I will need to create a composite sort field.
