Store Current Selections to QVD

Dear Experts,

I have this requirement:

1. I have two filters Year and Brand.

2. I have a pivot table with few rows as inputfields.

3. I select a particular year and a brand.

4. I enter a estimated sales for the above selected filter criteria in the inputfields of the pivot table.

5. I click on a button in the dashboard.

6. The data in the pivot table along with the current selections of the filter should get saved into the QVD.

7. Later I should be able to read them from the QVD.

Would it be possible to implement this scenario?

Why not you use a macro to export the data to qvd.

and call this macro on click of your button.

For current selections , you can even export them easily via macro.

I have one more question... Does the macros run in webview mode/server side?

Yes macros will work fine in IE or webview,

but they have issues in execution in other browsers i.e. with ajax client.

But the macro that I have written is not working in the webview...

I have written a macro to store the pivot table into QVD in particular location system... Say C:\Test\table.qvd.

This works fine in normal mode... the qvd is created in the location.. but in webview it is not getting created. Should I do some additional settings.?
