Hi,
I would appreciate any assistance. My Problem is:
I have a Straight Table with a Coloumn A an B(the rows in A & B are calculated from other coloumns in the straight table) I need to use the TOTALS of both to calculate a ratio B/A. and then plot this ratio on to a guage chart. I have tried getting the totals into variables etc. but I am now stuck.
Like I said any help would be appreciated.
Cheers,
Ferdi
Can u provide us with some Sample Data stating Clearly what u want...
Hi Erika,
Here is a sample qvw there is additional explenation notes in the file.
Thanks!
You can use nested aggregation function to get the required result.
Thanks, but if possible could you give me an example based on the file I've attached.
Plz find the attached file.
Hope this helps
Thanks Erika!!! this is exactly what I required.. Appreciate all your help...
Just for interest sake how would I go about doing the same as I did with A and B but what if I want to use a colmn C (which is the Sum of A and B) and use that to plot on a chart or Text Object..
See attached qvw.. thanks for the help in advance.
use this in Text Box:
=Sum(aggr(([compID]*score),compID))+Sum(aggr(([compID]*surv_role),compID))
Yeah had that, I though maybe there is a way that I can reference the coulmn name in the aggr function? The reason is that I have quite a few coloumns that is used to calculate values in other coloumns,
And to expand the Sum(aggr function to include all these other calculation is going to be a nightmare..
