Super-impose additional property within an expression within a 100% fully stacked bar?

violinconcerto_0-1619453204102.png

I am kind of new to QlikView.

I have a 100% fully stacked bar chart above.  Each bar is a dimension; and each bucket within a bar is an expression.  In general, there are five buckets within a bar.  Let me select the yellow bucket for discussion.

Within this bucket, I would like to show, say, two different properties, say, WithOpenIssues and NoOpenIssues.  Currently, the one color shows ALL counts within the bucket.

What is the best way to do this?

I was thinking about adding five additional dimensions/buckets; aligning WithOpenIssue next to AllIssues; coloring them the same (but, perhaps, using some form of hash lines over the same color in the WithOpenIssues buckets to distinguish WithOpenIssues from AllIssues within the same bucket.)  Yet, there is no background color with hash line.

Are there other suggestions/approaches?

Your help is much appreciated.

Hi Violinconcerto,

Have you solved this issue by yourself ? I hope so.

It seems to be more a designing question, didn't it?

One good way Qlikview offers to us in situations like that is to build TWO graphs and put them in ONE container in such a way that the user can switch from one to the other for getting the deepest insight.

Solving all the issues in one graph is technically possible but not always provides the best experience.

Good luck,

Marcos

No, this has not been resolved.  I have since poked around in earlier posts.  What I wanted to do apparently is impossible in this version of QlikView, which is mixing colors and patterns.  You can have either colors only or patterns only.  Someone has already entered it as a wish list item.

I will have to approach the problem from a different angle.  The end result will essentially show very much the same information; but, in my opinion, it will be less intuitive.
