Time Dimension not working in Line chart in Qlik sense

What I am trying to achieve is to give a count of candidates per period per year.

A period consists of 27 days.The line chart works without filters.

As soon as I choose a period  the count reaches does not filter.

Could you please suggest me as to what I might have done wrong.
