Trace explaination

Hi Guys,

Can anybody explain why some developers use "Trace"

I just got this QVW and on the script I see Trace everywhere..

Trace allows you to add custom log entries. That makes it possible to for example extract only lines beginning with a string of your choice so you get only the log lines you need for some purpose.

Trace is used to leave additional information on the QlikView log file as the script is being executed.

Not applicable

TRACE is also another way to debug the execution process. You can add information int he Script Execution Progress window and to the log file with this statement.
