Hi
My mistake. Looking in wrong place.
So, do you want to create a table in Qlikview same as the one in Excel?
Joe
In QlikView I want to be able to click on say Excel cell reference C4 and be directed to cells C21:C24, those that make up the 74,167. And likewise for the cells in the top tables to drill down to the lower tables.
Hi
I think you would need a Straight Table with Set Analysis to replicate your Excel table in Qlikview, and I would suggest this would be difficult for someone new to Qlikview.
If you look in the properties tab for a Qlikview table, Qlikview uses the Dimensions tab to capture the Row and Column information used in Excel Pivot Table.
It uses the Expressions tab to capture the Value information used in Excel Pivot Table. Where you simply drag an Excel field to the Value row, in Qlikview you have to build the Expression, for instance Sum(YTD Income).
So, to have a QV pivot for, say, Income, you would need the following dimensions in your table(s)
Division (Operational, Corporate)
Department (Surgery, Medicine etc)
Income Type (Contracted, Non Contracted)
Income Sub Type (Elective, Non Elective etc)
and then an expression to give you the values you want.
Hope this helps
