The question of aggregating multiple dates into a common date dimension like Month comes up frequently on this forum. I've posted a QVW tutorial on my website that shows how I typicaly handle the issue.

The QVW is not Personal Edition enabled.

Hello Mayil,
Henric has provided an updated license and I have updated the Cookbook link. You should be able to download and open the example with PE now.

Thanks Rob
Rob
Would you mind posting your example once again on here or your website? It seems that your tutorial is not complete anymore and I can't find your example QV-File.
Many thanks.
Matthias
Thanks for the great tutorial!
I am relatively new to QlikView and I was wondering: Is it possible to create a bar-chart using the dates from the common calendar as date dimension with a drill-down group in a setup like in the provided example .qvw ? If I try like in the screenshot below the sums are calculated wrong.
Thanks in advance,
Patrizia
A drilldown group works for me, and the screenshot looks correct. The Invoice count is 1 for 15 Jan, correct?

If we have two Dates (start dt and End dt ) with in the same table. Can you please modify the code and post it. As we are seeing the example here for only single date.
ROB
This scenario you have explained is for single date in a table suppose if we have two dates (start date and end date ) in the same table then how generate the common calendar can you plz update the QVW and post it.
Ahmed,
move each field into the link table, one field at a time.
Rob
Rob,
How would you modify your script to generate missing dates with hourly increments? (ex: 24 hourly time stamps for one missing date)?
