Hello,
I'm new to Qlikview and I wonder why we use the "%" sign in front of the field names.
For example:
LOAD *, Date as %ItemPurchased_Date
What is the difference between the above and LOAD *, Date as ItemPurchased_Date without the "%" sign?
Please explain it to me!
There are times when certain fields are created for selection, but they are not necessarily needed to be displayed to the user via current selection box. They are just used for seamless use of the dashboard. In those cases HidePrefix can come in handy.
I have not read through this, but this might also give other reasons or use cases for HidePrefix

Hello, Sunny
Sorry, why would I need to hide the filed name that I have created myself?
% = HidePrefix
Could you please give an example?
