Using Prompts

Hi,

How to create prompts in QlikView like other reporting tool such that when the user opens the report, he should be prompted before displaying the results?

Welcome aboard! This is one of the most common questions from a new QlikView developer

See, in QlikView we don't do it this way - there is no need to pre-define your selection criteria like you do in most Report Writers and Query tools.

We simply load all the data into the "cloud" and place some fields on the screen, to allow users select what they need to see in the run time.

Perhaps, a Sample application "Films" demonstrates the difference in the best way.
