Using an Average for Conditional Formatting a Pivot Table

Hi,

I hope someone will be able to help me. I think this is probably a simple problem but I can't figure it out!

I have a pivot table and I am using this expression so that I can have an Average as my total:

=num(avg(aggr(sum(Value),Indicator,YearMonth))'##.#')

However, then they want me to do some conditional formatting in comparison to this but it's still obviously giving me the number per month so it won't highlight anything! I have tried some set analysis but I haven't used it much so can't get anything to work.

Help!!

Thank you,

Kate

Hi Kate,

Please could you anonymise your data and attach the qvw application so I can have a look and figure out the issue and probably help you with the solution?

Hi,

Thank you so much, I hope the attached is ok.

They want all the data in each of the year month columns to be compared to the average in the total column and highlighted in a different colour.

Thanks,

Kate
