Hello All.
I am developing an application in which the user would like to see all charts calculated using one of two methods. I have create a variable, to be used in all set analysis expressions, to allow the user to control the 'style' of chart.
The expressions are working fine, however, the variable is underlined in red in all expressions.
I have attached very simple application to illustrate the issue. In the example, you will see that the variable vRegionOrType is underlined in red in the Total Sales expression in the Sales chart.
Can someone please confirm that this syntax is correct and that it is simply an issue with the editor.
We are using QV10 SR2.
Thanks,
John.
Confirmed.
It's just the editor. The variable isn't dollar-expanded by the editor so it looks like incorrect syntax.

Thank you Gysbert.
Syntax is correct and its just an issue with the editior of not understanding the value of the variable. If you remove the label from the expression column, QV will display the expression and value of the vRegionOrType variable.
Hello John
It seems to be a bug with the Script Editor. I have QV 11 SR1 and it has the same behavior.
I have seen the same problem using "advanced expressions" with set analisys and variables, and I just ignored it if the expression works.
I hope Qlikview solve it on the next versions.
