Variables Not Working When deployed the Dashboard in Qlikview Publisher Server

Hi Team,

Recently i am facing some different issue

i created one dashboard in my local machine its working properly and giving the expected results

after i  deployed the same dashboard in Qlik view Publisher.

but after deploying ,i was comparing the  personal edition Dashboard(Local machine)  to Publisher Dashboard(deployed the dashboard in publisher)some variables are giving wrong results, some variables are giving exact results ?

here my observations is:

-->why particular variables are working perfectly in  my local machine?

but the same dashboard  deployed in Publisher after comparing the data that particular variables  are not working?

-->How can i debug this issue ?

could you please suggest the possible way

Regards,

Bob

Hi,

It really depends on content of your variables.

'Not working' mean unexpected result or null?

Do your 'not working' variables contains functions like today(), now(), other functions ?

Hi Andrei,

-->i can say 'Not working' means  null

-->in my variables i am using Linest_m,Aggr and set functions

-->particular varibles means where i am using  Linest_m,Agg functions  in varibles level  that variables are showing null

note:

but the variables when i was opening dashboard it showing the proper result but when i was putting some filter then the variables it showing null

-->It really depends on content of your variables   Means is there any restriction for Variables?

Bob

Without a sample, and at least some idea of how the variables are defined, its impossible to do anything other than guess.

There are no special limitations on variables when deploying in publisher...

Hi Bob,

Technically as @Jonathan said there are no any special limits.

Do you have section access data reduction? Do you use the same user account?

You're the only person who can check everything, so the only thing I can suggest is just add Text Object and test one/two specific variable(s) value(s) on Desktop and Server and compare results. If you have complex variable just make it easier and compare part by part... And you will find the route cause finally.

There is smth related to data and variable definition.

Kind regards,

Andrei
