What are some examples where you would use QVX files? [Trying to understand a QVX file]

Hi all,

I recently came across the fact that you can use QVX files.

From reading about it,  a qvx is a file/stream format for high performance output to QlikView.

Does this mean if you export your data out of a database and stored it as a QVX file it would be fast to read? Are there any examples where QVX files are commonly used?
