What does the star represent in an open file name (i.e. - abc.qvw*)

I have been noticing some of the files open have a star after the qvw and this may be coincidental but often the filtering logic seems to go awry when the star is there. Is it a memory issue maybe?

I think it means "not saved"

It is to indicate that there are some change in the document that are not saved.

Sometimes you haven't actually changed anything but Qlik still thinks you've made unsaved changes to the document. For example, opening a properties box and then clicking "ok" to close it will cause that. If you save a document before closing it, your selections should be there when you reopen it.

Hi Deboos,

when the application/.qvw is opened it won't show * symbol first, but if you open any object or sheet properties

then automatically address of the .qvw file will show this * symbol

once you saved or cancel the changes automatically * will hide and show the normal file name.

EX:-

just like cricket 2 bats mans 1)who is batting * means may or may not he is trying to change the scoreboard,

                                          2)who is runner
