Where can we use above and Below function?

Hi there,

I am learning some Chart Inter Record Functions and saw "above" and "below" functions. I am just curious in reality, where should we use these two functions?

Thanks a lot,

Steve

We can use them in straight tables, charts, non-pivoted pivot tables (for pivoted dimensions, you can use After and Before). Here are some examples by Robert_Mika‌ -> Missing Manual - Above() and Below()

Thanks Sunny! The examples are really good. Just curious in real business world, when we should apply these two functions?

One place it would be useful is to create a visual where you calculate Year-on-Year growth rate with year as your dimension.

Very interesting, it looks Above (Sum(Sales),-1) is same as Below(Sum(Sales),1) and Above(Sum(Sales),1) is same as Below(Sum(Sales),-1).

Thanks for all the help guys!
