Why coloring ordinal buttons does not work

Hi, is this a known bug or am I missing something simple. Using QlikView May 2023 with 3 buttons has been working as expected for 13 years

now, I've added  4th one and it behaves strangely

You have just used the wrong variable in the background color expression:
You are using $(vcBtnUSD) instead of $(vcBtnGBP)
