Wild card index match Qlik equivalent of Excel
Here is the issue in as small a nutshell as possible. (100 words)
I have a table with unique IDS (RASSID)
I have another table with unique IDS (VACIDS)
RAAS is linked to some structural stuff that is part of navigation
RAAS numbers are in the vac table. BUT THEY ARE DIRTY
Multiple sets of valid numbers, extra characters and text.
RAASID is always 6 numbers. Good data.
In excel I use a wild card index match to search the dirty RAAS string for a matching 6 characters.
=index(vacID,(match(“*”&RASSID&”*”,DirtyRASScolumn,0)))
I need to use the BOM mapping table as the primary navigation for analysis on applicants and vacancy data (blue)
RAAS is the lynch pin.
WHere do I start to get Qlik to do this?
