Do we use algorithms in QV. Can any one help me with some study materials and examples.

According to Wikipedia http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Algorithm, algorithm  "is a step-by-step procedure for calculations".

So anytime you write an script you´re writing a piece of code that could be considered an Algorithm

Absolutely Right Anjos, but there are few famous named algorithms like Searching and sorting algorithm,shortest path algorithm and all. Can we use those like we use in C,java etc.

I´m sure QlikView is not the most appropriate tool to write algorithms like that.

And C or Java are not the most appropriate tools to write BI user interfaces too..

There´s not a perfect "swisstool for everything"
