Hi Richa,

You need to schedule a reload task in QlikView server depending on the frequency of data change you expect.

Hello,

If you are looking to do some real time reporting, then you need to consider a lot of things, like the size of the application and the data model etc. Can I ask you what do you mean by data modification? How is that being handled now and what are you trying to achieve?

QV is the wrong tool for complete real time reporting solutions, but you can get to near real time reporting.

Thanks

Hi Richa,

A solution could be to ...

1)  Schedule a separate QVW to run every minute to look for the new file and if the date of the file has changed get the load script to do something you know will fail.

2)  Schedule your actual QVW to reload dependant only on the first job failing.

I have a few jobs scheduled this way.  Of course if your file takes a while to reload, it might not be the best solution, but the file won't reload when it doesn't need to.
