bar in list object

our server wat updated to a newer release and we noticed that our list object changed.  we use LED selection style for user choices when the list is small.  we would hide everything except for the box and the choice.  now with the upgrade, there is a small vertical bar separating each choice.  this was not in the earlier version.  we cant find a setting to turn it off.  has anyone managed to turn it off?

You can't get rid of that so far my knowledge in newer version..

Thanks for the response Anil, thats the same conclusion we grudgingly arrived at and just used pictures to simulate the selections as a work around.
