- Number of lists: 5
Suppose the election day we had the following results:
- Number of voters: 9643
- Number of votes:
+ List A: 5200
+ list B: 3000
+ list C: 800
+ list 😧 270
+ list E: 230
- Number of blank and invalid ballots: 143
To calculate the Nbs of seats for each list:
White ballots, void and Nbs of votes must be removed for lists obtained less than 3% of votes: 9643- 270-230-143 = 9000
- the electoral quotient 9000/18 = 500
Each lists gets
+ list A: 5200/500 = 10 seats remaining votes 200
+ list B: 3000/500 = 6 seats remaining votes 0
+ list C: 800/500 = 1 seats remaining votes 300
To assign the last seat to a list one must take the remaining most evaluate:
The rest of the list C is the most important 300 votes
The final result is:
+ list A: 10 seats
+ list B: 6 seats
+ list C: 2 seats
On each list 18 candidates numbered from 1 to 18
