calculating with regard to date

hi experts,

i have attached the sample qvw file.

i have a pivot table which has some expressions based on some calculations.

the calculations depends on the branch and the working days.

this working days get varied according to the branch.

the branch name called dundee has two codes 0831 & 0201.

from jan 2015 to march 23, 2015, the branch code for dundee is 0831 and after march 23, 2015, the branch code for dundee is 0201.

i have a month & date list boxes. if i select on jan2015 or feb 2015, the calculations for dundee branch should go with the code 0831

if i select on march 2015, the calculations for dundee branch should go with the code 0831 and 0201 (should get added up).

if i select on april 2015 or later, the calculations for dundee branch should go with the code 0201.

how can i do this in scripting or....

please help me in this regard.

can you not use a mapping load and change the 2 Dundee (nnn) BRNAMEto Dundee?

the branch code got changed from march 23, 2015 only.

so, if i do mapping, i dont get the sales records for the previous months.

any other suggestions pls

I have read your question and tried your app, and to me it looks like the app behaves as you describe that you want it to behave?

hi,

when you see the sample, its working fine for jan 2015 & april 2015

but when i select feb 2015, the target is showing null values against the branch dundee(0831)

actually it should return the details of branch code 0831.

similarly, when i select march 2015, two fields of targets are showing null values for that branch.

actually, it should give the added up values of branch code 0831 and 0201. because the branch code of dundee got changed from 0831 to 0201 on march 23, 2015.

please advice the logic.

Hi  - I see what you mean now.

One of  your problems is that BRCODE 031 do not have a MTDDAYS value.

You need to fix that and rework your Load script a bit.

Also you should try to get rid of the syntethic table created because you have connections with multiple fields

I suggest you start with this.

its just a sample. i have removed the synthetic keys in original.

MTD days i ll solve. MTD days is related only to the field MTD target in pivot table.

but for other fields i m speaking abt.
