in cases where you want to make comparative analysis

each state you create is in fact a set of data on which you can make analysis just like 1, $

to grasp the idea more check the document (what's new in QlikView 11) which is installed by default in C:\Program Files\QlikView\Examples\Documents

and go to the sheet Product Grouping

Comparative Analysis:

Comrapative analysis is used to compare multiple objects on groups level.

Some objects from one group to some other objects in another group.

For this we have to create ALTERNATIVE STATES.
