change in server doesn't work in client

Hey there !

i made a change in my qvw and when i open the document in the server it works fine, but when i am publishing it and open in as a user, the change i did isn't there

the change i did was just adding a calculated dimension:

if(isnull(myColumn),'Blank',myColumn)

in the server, the nulls apprears as blank (good) and when i open the document as a user it appears like '-'

thanks !!

Mor

Hi,

How do you distribute your Document? Via Publisher or server?

Make sure to save source document and Publish your application to user document. I.E run the task.

Go to QEMC --> System -->Setup --> Select QlikView server --> Document tab

Make sure allow session recovery is unchecked.

no.

i just put the qvw in the server and the users open it from there

In this case.

First take backup of all files in folder.

Then delete all files related to same application name (Ex application.qvw,application.pgo,application.shared,application.meta)

Restart qlikview services

Try by posting modified application.qvw file here.

I can't think beyond this.

I believe Bill Britt can bring more light to this.

Have you checked "Allow Only One Copy of Document in Memory " on your server?

BTW, buy a Publisher. It makes your life easier. 🙂
